Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreign

Taken in San Francisco, Camotes Islands, Cebu

I’m sure many of my readers have never heard of puso. To give a brief background, puso is commonly known in English as hanging rice. Essentially, it’s rice wrapped in coconut leaves.

Puso is a staple for Filipinos, though the variety found in the city is quite small. It fits in the palm of one’s hand. Giant puso, like this one, is a rarity. You’ll never find this in the city.
